WHO WE ARE

New Covenant Community Church is a welcoming church in Oswego, New York, with modern worship and biblical teaching. We desire to reach the community by living the love of Christ.

We desire to impact our community and show others what Jesus is like by how we live, speak, and act. Our mission is to bring others into the family of God and care for them as Jesus cares for us. We believe that as we seek the love of Christ, live the love of Christ, and share the love of Christ, people will be drawn to Him and their lives will be changed for eternity.

We invite you to come as you are!

MISSION STATEMENT

We aspire to make a meaningful impact in our community and to demonstrate the character of Jesus through our words, actions, and way of life. Our mission is to welcome others into the family of God and to care for them as Jesus Christ for us. We believe that by seeking, living, and sharing the love of Christ, we will draw people to Him and transform their lives for eternity.

STATEMENT OF FAITH

We believe the Bible is the inspired and only infallible authoritative Word of God.We believe in one God, who exists eternally in three persons: the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit.

We believe in the deity of Christ, in His virgin birth, His sinless life, His miracles, His vicarious and atoning death, His resurrection from the dead, His ascension to the right hand of the Father, and His personal and imminent second coming.

We believe in the absolute necessity of regeneration by the Holy Spirit (New Birth – Born Again – John 3:3) for salvation, due to the profound sinfulness of human nature. We affirm that men are justified on the single ground of faith in the shed blood of Christ and that it is only by God’s grace and through faith that we are saved.

We believe in the literal existence of Heaven for those redeemed in Christ, as well as in a literal Hell, which serves as a place of conscious punishment for the unsaved.

We believe that the gifts of the Holy Spirit—miracles, healings, wisdom, knowledge, prophecy, tongues, interpretation of tongues, and faith—are for today, are in operation today, and are used for the edification of the church.

We believe that sexual purity is essential for all of God's children, and that He requires us to abstain from adultery, fornication, incest, homosexuality, and all other sexual relationships and practices that are forbidden by Scripture (Hebrews 13:4; 1 Corinthians 6:18; Leviticus 18:1-13).

We believe that marriage is the union of one man and one woman in a lifelong covenant commitment, a sacred institution established by God. (Matthew 10:4-6)

BIBLICAL VALUES

We are committed to teaching, encouraging, and practicing Biblical corporate worship. Our desire is to prepare ourselves to enjoy the presence of the Holy Spirit as we worship together.

Experience the love of Christ and embrace a lifestyle that reflects that love to others.

Seek the love of Christ, live the love of Christ, and share the love of Christ.

We are committed to discipleship and to challenging every believer in their spiritual life.

Matthew 10:8 states, “Freely you have received, freely give.” We must be generous with all that God has given us. This includes our spiritual gifts, talents, time, and our treasures.

We are committed to the teaching and preaching of God’s Word according to the power of the Holy Spirit.

We are committed to God-called, Spirit-led, unity-loving, and accountable leadership that embraces opportunities to receive evaluation and feedback, acknowledging that growth requires seasons of correction.

We believe that it is both the duty and privilege of every believer to support the local assembly through regular attendance, financial contributions, and service, to the best of their ability. (Hebrews 10:25; 2 Corinthians 8 & 9; 1 Peter 4:10)

We believe that tithing, along with freewill offerings, is God's ordained method for financing the spreading of the Gospel and meeting the needs of the local church (Malachi 3:10).
